I was so sorry to hear about Martha's death yesterday from the PRO Neighborhoods staff.  She was a wonderful woman who made a difference in her community.  I know you, David, were very close and that you will miss her a lot.  Her wisdom and determination were a model for us all.  I am so grateful for the help she gave me when I was at PRO.  I learned a lot from her.  My deepest sympathy goes out to her family and to her many dear friends.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Pat DeVito

Martha Cooper has been my dear friend and neighbor for over forty years.  We were together at Wright School PTA, Midtown Neighborhood Association, and St. Mark's Presbyterian Church..  We both loved our own kids and everybody's children, especially the disadvantaged.  Recently we attendend U of A Football Games together. She was a loyal and sometimes quite noisy fan.   I know she will be watching all of us as we keep working toward completing her dream of the Midtown  Libraary Learning Center which will undoubtedly bear her name.   We'll try to keep your spirit alive and quietly prod the wheels of politics.   You were such a patient and kind Spirit.  I will miss you always.  Love forever,

Audrey Marr

She was a great lady that touched many people and was an asset to the community. Her presence will be greatly missed.

My sincerest and heart felt condolences to the Midtown: Garden District members, leadership and Martha's family.  Martha was truly a unique and caring individual completely dedicated to the principle that neighborhood residents should have a say in the future of their community.  I applaud her long list of achievements, but mostly her ability to bring people together for a common good.  There are few people with that ability and it is a huge loss to all of us when someone like her goes to her reward in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Please keep me apprized of any arrangements made.

Maximiliano Torres

I'm so sorry. I know what a good friend she was to you, and I know you (David Kha) will miss her very very much.  Her life was an example of how people can continue to contribute to their community even when their health would excuse them from doing anything but sleeping.  Some people have said that the best way to keep the memory of someone alive is to do those things you most admired that they did.  I'll try to remember that about Martha.

Sharon Kha

I think that next month's newsletter needs to be completely devoted to
honoring Martha.  As we all go through our own griving we might find
comfort in writing down things we remember or accomplishments of

To the friends and family of Martha,

I've known Martha for only a short time, but I'll remember her for the rest of my life.
All that she's done for Midtown is on inspiration to me and my daughter was fortunate
to participate in tha Wright-Catalina program as a tutor. I hope my small contribution
can help towards Martha's dream of creatihg the library/learning center.

Dear Brad -
I am so sorry you have lost your friend. I know she was a faithful ally of yours and that you will miss her. My thoughts are with you and I wish you peace.
Love,

Reverand Nadine Rosin

Brad, I'm so sorry to hear that Martha Cooper is no longer with us. She was indeed a "feisty lady." I admired her very much. This has not been a good week for neighborhoods; as you probably know, Paul Smith died recently as well.
I hope more younger people are coming along who can replace them.

Gayle  Hartman
Ward VI Candidate

Martha was a leader and great neighborhood citizen. I wish I could have got to know her better.
God Bless her.
