Midtown Neighborhood Minutes

Meeting of January 16, 2001

John B. Wright Elementary School

The meeting was called to order by President Brad Holland. Many new neighbors were in attendance and asked for copies of the by-laws. The by-laws were not at the meeting for their perusal. The apparent concern was regarding the scheduled election of officers.

The President suggested that the election be postponed so copies of the by-laws could be made available to anyone who wanted them. On motion by Velma Hidden, seconded by Anna Marie Patti, this suggestion was presented and approved by voice vote.

Vice President Martha Cooper said she would have copies here for the next meeting in February.

The floor was then opened to questions and concerns of the neighbors. A spirited discussion followed, ranging from problems with dogs, to not receiving the newsletter, to compliance with city code, including weeds, garbage and junked cars, as well as the use of a camcorder to record violations.
