                                                   OCTOBER SUMMARY

Our November meeting was devoted to voting on our new bylaws. Brad Holland, Midtown President, explained the chronology of events leading up to the vote. Brad studied several neighborhood associations and local/regional non-profit organizations to glean proposed modifications for the Midtown Neighborhood association. At the October meeting, these proposed changes were distributed to members, discussed at length, and modified for membership approval. At the November meeting, residents were given another opportunity to seek clarification before the vote. The results of the vote were 29 in favor of the modifications and two were against.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

JFLOWER ANGEL OF THE MONTH:
This month's Flower Angel is Tammy Moritz. Manny Aldaz nominated Tammy after one of her beautiful murals was vandalized last month. Tammy had two beautiful murals on the wall along side her home, but after September 11th, she added a third, the American flag. When vandals defaced the flag, Tammy covered it with a cloth until she could get out and repair it. Tammy has certainly done her part to beautify our neighborhood.
